Life at The Cannery reached a new and bountiful milestone this past week with the first-ever harvesting of our Urban Farm. Twenty volunteers worked in the hot sun to farm over 5,280 pounds of fresh produce including butternut squash, spaghetti squash, and heirloom tomatoes. The Cannery’s first harvest was donated in its entirety to the Yolo Food Bank and Community Harvest of Davis. Life certainly does taste better at The Cannery.
