Ring in Spring with Some Bluegrass

The Putah Creek Crawdads will bring their bluegrass sounds to the Davis Farmers Market’s Picnic in the Park on the first day of spring, Wednesday, March 20. The band includes Wayne Ginsburg, mandolin; Kate Laddish, fiddle and guitar; Marc Faye, bass; John Rominger, guitar; and Cap Thomson, banjo. The market is open from 4:30 p.m. to sunset in Central Park, 301 C St. Patrons can shop the farmers market, buy dinner, visit Soroptimist International of Davis’ beer and wine garden, and entertain youngsters. Along with farm-fresh produce, the spring market features artisan cheese, apple juice, olive oil, honey and flowers.
